Henniker residents Amy and Charlie Gunn have a special Spirit tradition: every five years, they dress up in their wedding clothes and invite friends and family to celebrate their anniversary. Many of the guests at the party were there on the wedding day, and there’s always a new face or two.
“There’s something so special about the Country Spirit. We’re always treated so well, and our friends and family love being there,” says Amy.

The party is always lively and lovely at the same time. Amy’s dress still fits, and Charlie’s outfit is true right down to his socks. The Spirit has hosted the party for the couple’s 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th anniversary. Amy says she’s planning on keeping the tradition alive well into old age.
